Greeters
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have welcomed angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:1-2
Greeting those who are new as well as those who are regulars for the 10:30 service on Sunday mornings is a ministry that helps St. Benedict present a friendly face and a warm welcome to all who enter the door. Participating in this ministry involves only a few things. A friendly smile and a commitment to doing what you can on Sunday morning to make sure everyone is welcomed warmly is job one.
Being part of the greeting ministry means that you will be scheduled with another person every couple of months to be the face of welcome to all. On the Sunday you are scheduled, you need to show up 30 minutes early to be ready to greet people. Also the greeters meet together a couple of times a year for training and fellowship.
Interested in this ministry? Peggy Carmichael will be happy to answer questions and provide more information.
